Downtown IMPACT Grant

Main Street Waterloo is excited to offer this grant program to help encourage business development efforts in our downtown! The The Downtown IMPACT Grant is designed to help support business expansion, create a positive climate for district investment, support local revitalization, enhance community engagement, and increase partnerships with Main Street Waterloo. The grant has been funded through generous contributions from businesses, community members, and in part from the Main Street Waterloo Golf Tournament.

You can support this grant program through event sponsorship of the Golf Tournament on May 21, 2024, register a team to play in the tournament, and donations.

Main Street Waterloo is a volunteer driven, nonprofit organization dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the vitality of our downtown center. In 2022 Main Street Waterloo hosted our Inaugural Golf Tournament to fund a grant program for Downtown Waterloo small businesses. The Downtown IMPACT Grant provides assistance to businesses working to add a new line of services, products, a piece of equipment, or a project that will help take their business to the next level. In our first year, we were able to award a $6,100 grant to Gray Lane Yoga for the addition of Uplift Fitness to install the needed infrastructure and equipment to host aerial yoga classes, instructor education, and expansion of business hours making them the only yoga studio within a 2-hour radius to offer this type of class. In our second year, we were able to award a $7,000 grant to Try Pie Bakery to help them purchase a cold storage delivery vehicle.
